Cain & Able

Genesis 4 Talks about the sons of Adam & Eve. Ignoring the fact that there were suddenly a lot more people on earth with no explanation lets look at the lives of these two men.

Vegetarians did not do well in the olden days. As you will notice more and more, the God of the bible loved his sacrifices. Although both brothers made an offering to Him, He only accepted the fatty one. Animals had to be butchered to please God. Since when did He demand offerings for acceptance? What makes Him different from all the other ‘pagan gods’ that demanded sacrifices? The Christian teachers love to make assumptions about the intention and motive of Cain etc. However, it is all made-up.

Genesis 4 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me." 15 But the LORD said to him, "Not so; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over." Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.

The punishment for murder is for Cain to wonder the earth and have one crop failure after the other. Then God swears unthinkable vengeance upon anyone who would kill him. God’s punishment is not consistent and fair!

Genesis 4 17 Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city and he named it after his son Enoch.

Ignoring the fact that there is no mentioning of where his wife came from, he suddenly had to build a city just because he got one son! How long will it take one person to build an entire city, even if it is only a standard ancient city? Even if it was not a city but a town or something, he was cursed by God just a short while ago to be a wanderer of the earth! Now what? Does he stay or does he go?
